What do you think of Canon Elph cameras?
The camera I want, the Canon PowerShot 10.0-Megapixel Digital ELPH Camera , is on sale at Best Buy for 179, originally 249. It seems like a great camera from what I’ve read. if you can, give me the pros and cons of this camera. Why do you like it?

It is a little P&S with all the usual limitations.
It depends on exactly WHAT you want to achieve with it.
If your intention is to take snapshots in pretty good light, then that camera will be great.
If you want to take photos in less than ideal lighting situations, then it won’t do all that well.
If you want to get serious about photography, you’ll need to pick a camera that gives you a lot of manual control so you can get away from the “auto” setting and start learning.
