Trouble uploading pictures from Nikon Coolpix S620 to computer?

I recently got this camera, and i just uploaded the “nikon transfer” software. I plugged in the cord to both my camera and the computer and opened the software. When i turn on the camera, nothing happens. I have read the manual thoroughly and i can’t figure out whats wrong. I haven’t gotten a memory card yet, so the pictures just saved to the camera itself. is that it?
my camera won’t even come up as a source

Nikon Transfer software has filters built in it to prevent it from downloading obscene photos. Try taking photos of someone other than yourself and see if it will let you download them! I hope this helps!

Does your camera have to be in review/playback mode?
